The CHARTE Center, Inc. is a private practice agency providing services to consumers of all nationalities, ethnic groups, and with all disabilities. Our mission is to provide quality therapeutic interventions for consumers of all ages, diagnoses, and disorders with respect and dignity in all environments, and to all significant people in the consumer’s life. Our aim is to work in collaboration with the consumer to help him or her achieve their goals.

We are currently seeking a part-time outpatient therapist, with the potential of transitioning to full-time as soon as possible, to provide treatment to a diverse caseload of clients.

Responsibilities:

Outpatient Therapist

  • Provide psychotherapy to a caseload of children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses

  • Perform bio-psychosocial intake assessments and intervene in compliance with CASSP principles and best practice guidelines

  • Coordinate treatment, family, and other supports as necessary

  • Develop treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation according to APA standards in order to achieve designated treatment goals

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work

  • Current, active license (LPC, LSW, LCSW, etc.)

  • Individual credentialing through insurance companies, preferred

  • Individual liability insurance preferred, can assist with procurement upon hire

  • 2-3 years experience providing counseling services to individuals and families

  • Knowledge of and demonstrated application of therapeutic interventions, such as CBT, DBT, transactional analysis, family therapy, and psychotherapy techniques, required

  • Working knowledge of the DSM-5 as relevant for diagnosis and treatment, required

  • Experience in cultural diversity and cultural competency

  • Willing to work 10-15 hours/week on a flexible schedule to start (including evenings)

  • Act 33/34 clearances and FBI finger printing, required

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Pay grade starts at $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

For in person appointments a mask must be always worn if clients are not fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated clients will be required to bring a copy of their vaccination card. A screening questionnaire is also given, and temperature taken.
